Costa Rica - "Rich Coast" is not just named for its lush rainforest and wildlife, it is also called this way due to its diverse ocean ecosystems as well.
No doubt this is the
Fishermen's Paradise! Remote, wild and unbelievably scenic - endless rocky coastline, with golden beaches washed by the crystal blue Pacific Ocean.
Unlike the more visited northern coast, here you will often find yours is the only boat on the water, and the best part is - this is one of the best fishing place on earth!
Off the coast of Poor Man's Paradise is the heart of a vast habitat known as the Costa Rican Thermal Convection Dome (the only one in the world that
is constant - meaning fishing is excellent all the time!) - Shallow, warm waters lie on top of low-oxygen cold water, creating the perfect ecosystem for a

vast variety of marine life that congregate near this coast and take advantage of this year-round dome of ecologically rich waters, providing the world's best
game fishing. Between
Caņo Island (appox. 10 miles run) and our shore is a massive volcanic rock reef system. It is famous for its world record
Pacific Cubera Snapper.
In this water, it is not uncommon to catch at least a dozen Sailfish a day during the season or surrounded by giant school of Y
ellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado and King
Mackerel are plentyful as well. Sea
turtles,
Whales and hundreds of
Dolphins are frequently sighted along the way.
Inshore hot spots are near the Corcovado rock and the Plates - a series of underwater rock plates that resemble dominos that have toppled over; along with many
volcanic structures attract untold number of varieties of
Snappers, Groupers, Jacks, Rainbow Runner, Triggerfish and many other species.
Roosterfish are our year-round
residents. The mouth of the Rio Sierpe is surrounded by a lush mangrove estuary system that offers fishing for
Snook, Snapper, and
Corvina.

The owner Pincho, among others are some of the best guides that can be found in this area. All our guides grew up on these waters here. They will amaze you with their
knowledge and the fish that they will have you bringing home for dinner.
